Just wanted to let people know that good quality perlite is available on ebay.  Really cheap if you buy quantity.  I bought a little 8 quart bag at a hardware store for $7 $8, but then i saw on ebay if you buy some quantity you can get it really cheap on ebay and only spend $20 - $30.  instead of $1 per quart, $0.10 per quart

Buying in bulk is always cheaper. But that means you can also go to garden stores and get a huge 50 gallon bag for about that unit price, so it's good if you don't want to drag yourself to one.
